Josh Newman Joins Superbike Advocates Racing for 2026 ASBK Superbike Campaign

Josh Newman is proud to announce that he will join Superbike Advocates Racing for the 2026 season, stepping up to compete in the premier Superbike class of the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) aboard the Ducati Panigale V4R.

The move marks a major milestone in Josh’s career as he enters his rookie season in the ASBK Superbike category. Competing at the highest level of national competition, the 2026 season represents an exciting new chapter and an opportunity to continue his development against Australia’s best.

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining Superbike Advocates Racing for the 2026 ASBK season,” said Josh. “This is a huge step forward in my career, and I’m beyond thankful to Lee and Glenn for the opportunity and belief they’ve shown in me. It really means a lot to have their support.”

Racing the Ducati Panigale V4R in the highly competitive Superbike class presents both a challenge and an opportunity. As he prepares for his debut season in the premier category, Josh is focused on adapting to the demands of the class and building strong foundations for long-term success.

“I’m really keen to get everything underway,” he continued. “The goal is to take the next step in my racing career and continue developing as a rider throughout my rookie season. There’s going to be a lot to learn at this level, but I’m ready to put in the work and make the most of the opportunity.”

Adding to the excitement is the opportunity to line up alongside Glenn Allerton as a teammate. Glenn has played a pivotal role in Josh’s journey through the sport, providing mentorship and guidance from the very beginning.

“It’s extremely special to be able to run alongside Glenn as my teammate in ASBK,” Josh said. “He’s been the one who has taught me everything since day one, and I still continue to learn so much from him. To now share the grid together in the Superbike class is something I’m really proud of.”

Lecha Khouri, Team Owner of Superbike Advocates Racing, welcomed Josh to the team’s 2026 Superbike lineup. “We’re very pleased to welcome Josh into our Superbike program for 2026” said Khouri. “He’s shown strong progression, maturity, and dedication, and we believe he’s ready to take this next step into the premier class."

“The Superbike category is highly competitive, but with the support of our team and Glenn’s experience alongside him, we’re confident Josh has the right environment to develop and build a solid rookie season. We’re excited to see what he can achieve.”

Josh also extended his gratitude to the team’s partners, his personal sponsors, and his family, all of whom have been instrumental in reaching this milestone.

“I want to say a huge thank you to all of the team’s partners and my personal sponsors for their continued belief and support. None of this would be possible without them. And of course, to my family, thank you for backing me every step of the way throughout my career. This opportunity is just as much theirs as it is mine.”

With preparations for the 2026 ASBK season already underway, Josh and Superbike Advocates Racing are eager to hit the track and begin this exciting new chapter together.
